Meet.. (if you haven't already).. Rudy!
Rudy is a border collie puppy. He is named after Rudolf because he was a Christmas present! This picture was taken soon after we got Rudy. At the time he was 6 weeks old. Needless to say, puppies grow... a lot. Rudy has not stopped! He's looks like a completely different dog these days!
Here's the Rudy that is now begging to go play in the rain...
Rudy is a very smart boy. Too smart for his own good in many cases. He can sit, come (sometimes), stay, shake, fetch (although he does like to be chased when he's got the ball in his mouth) and he's learning to catch a frisbee. Dad built us a teeter to start working on. Rudy isn't too fond of this. He makes it half way up then jumps off. Maybe he won't be an agility dog, but boy does he love the frisbee!! Rudy adores his Uncle Scout and follow him everywhere.
He loves to play with Scout and while Scout used to tower over Rudy, it is the complete opposite now. Rudy is a biiig boy!
Rudy loves meeting new people and we're working on keeping him form jumping on them. It's a tough lesson for him. He's a huge baby and won't go outside alone...but he loves being outside!
Now that it is finally beginning to warm up a little, Dad has begun to hit golfballs in the backyard and Rudy loves to lay by his grandpa when he's out there! He's a major spazzo. We'll all be sitting quietly watching TV and all of a sudden, out of nowhere, Rudy pops up and runs to the door barking at nothing.
He's a chore, but a fun chore! I get frustrated with him at times. I have an amazing mother who stays home with him during the day, for which I am very thankful.
