Never thought I'd be doing this...

Well, here it is. I, CanineCrazy, have now joined the world of blogging. Seeing that many of my family members are a part of this, I decided I should join also. I guess to start this off I'll tell you a little about myself.

I am in my final year of High School. Working, steadily towards my diploma. The day I receive that little piece of paper will be a day full of great excitement and great fear. I hope to join the other half of my family up North in the great state of Alaska for my two years of college. Whether or not this will actually happen, I have no clue. Only the Big Man knows the answer to that one at this point. Although I know Mom and Dad won't like that arrangement, I am extremely excited at the thought of living somewhere unlike anywhere else I've ever lived. Even so, I'm a tad bit nervous about the idea of moving away from Mom and Dad. Especially that far away. We'll just have to wait and see what happens! Wherever I end up, I'm planning on getting an Associates degree in Business Admin/management. After, I'm planning on attending a six week program at the National K-9 Learning Center. After I become a certified dog trainer, I want to work in a humane society (My dream would be in a huge SPCA). I want to do behavior modification with dogs. This means I would preform temperament tests on all dogs brought to the shelter. The downside of this, I will have to choose to put down some dogs who can not be placed in homes for safety reasons. Sad, but necessary. The upside to this job (and the main reason I want to do it), I will be working with introverted and apprehensive dogs. A lot of the cases I've heard about are dogs rescued from abuse situations. They are often terrified of people. My job would be to socialize the dog and make sure it can handle being in a home. Also, I'd determine what sort of home would be best for the dog (i.e. no other dogs, no small children, etc.) Those are my future plans!

It's late and I have school in the morning, sooo...I guess you'll just have to wait until later to read more!
